At the center of it all is a small coffee trailer with a familiar face smiling from the window.
For many local families, stopping at Jacqui’s Java has become part of the weekend routine.
But that routine started nearly 3,000 miles away.
Bringing a Taste of the Pacific Northwest to Florida
Before opening her mobile coffee trailer, Jacqui spent years working in the drive-up coffee huts that are part of everyday life in Washington State.
When she moved to Florida, she missed more than the coffee.
She missed the culture.
“Out of all the jobs I’ve had, working in coffee was the one I missed the most,” she said. “I realized it was also something Florida was definitely lacking.”
Instead of waiting for someone else to bring that experience here, she decided to build it herself.
Today, every drink that leaves her 15-foot trailer is made by Jacqui herself.
More Than a Career Change
Starting Jacqui’s Java wasn’t simply about opening a business.
It was about changing her life.
After years of working evenings as a bartender, Jacqui wanted something that would allow her to spend more time with her children.
“My ‘why’ is my family, first and foremost,” she said. “I wanted the freedom to be present for my kids while also building something of my own.”
Trading late nights for early mornings turned out to be the right move.
Why the Soccer Fields Feel Like Home
Ask Jacqui where she enjoys serving coffee the most, and the answer comes without hesitation.
“The soccer fields, 100 percent.”
“The energy, the chaos, the people impatiently waiting on me,” she laughed. “It must be the soccer mom in me.”
For many families, stopping by her trailer has become just as much a part of game day as folding chairs and orange slices.
Knowing she’s become part of those routines is what she enjoys most.
Coffee Is Just the Beginning
Ask what makes Jacqui’s Java different, and she doesn’t immediately talk about espresso or specialty drinks.
She talks about people.
“Anyone can serve coffee, but not everyone makes you feel seen when you walk up.”
She has built her business around remembering names, favorite orders, and conversations from previous visits.
“It’s not just a quick stop,” she said. “It’s a vibe.”
Her favorite part of the business isn’t even what’s in the cup.
“The best part of this business has never been the espresso,” she said. “It’s the people standing on the other side of my window.”
What Should You Order?
If you’re visiting for the first time, Jacqui already has a recommendation.
The Toasted White Mocha.
She describes it as tasting like “a white s’more,” and says it’s her go-to drink whenever someone asks her to surprise them.
When the Florida heat takes over, she’s more likely to grab a Blue Raspberry Energy Spritzer instead.
Building a Business One Cup at a Time
Like many small business owners, Jacqui wears every hat.
She’s the owner, barista, scheduler, marketer, bookkeeper, and cleanup crew.
“There’s no clocking out when it’s your business.”
Balancing those responsibilities while raising three boys hasn’t always been easy, but she says it’s also been the most rewarding experience of her life.
Looking Ahead
Jacqui’s Java can regularly be found at neighborhoods, youth sporting events, local businesses, schools, vendor markets, and community gatherings throughout Clay County and Northeast Florida.
The mobile coffee trailer is also available for private events, fundraisers, corporate gatherings, and celebrations. Businesses can choose hourly service or pay-per-drink packages, while schools receive waived travel fees.
She posts her weekly schedule and booking information on her social media pages so customers always know where to find her next.
For Jacqui, success isn’t measured by opening multiple locations or becoming the biggest coffee shop around.
Judging by the growing number of families who make Jacqui’s Java part of their weekly routine, she’s already well on her way.

Jacqui didn’t set out to build the biggest coffee shop in town.
She simply wanted to create a place where people felt welcome, remembered, and could start their day with a great cup of coffee.
“My goal has never been to become the biggest coffee shop,” she said. “Just to become your coffee girl.”
Judging by the familiar faces waiting outside her trailer each week, she’s already becoming exactly that.
